Kent State University’s Department of Modern & Classical Language Studies in Kent, Ohio, is hosting the fifth Translation in Transition (TT5) Conference, as a forum of discussion for empirical research in the fields of translation and interpreting. 

The focus of TT5 is on human and machine intelligence, aiming at discussing questions such as: What are the fundamentals mechanisms that underlie human translation performance? How can and do humans cope with developing machine intelligence and how can machines adapt to the human condition? What is the effect of technology on the translation process, performance, job satisfaction, the product and society? 

Abstract submission has been extended to June 5, 2020, and conference registration will close on September 18, 2020.
