Crooks use clever schemes to defraud millions of people every year. They often combine new technology with old tricks to get people to send money or give out personal information. Here are some practical tips to help you stay a step ahead.

I have been a target for scammers for the past couple of months where they mention they got my information from NOTA. Anyone else having this problem?

    Hello Cristina,

Yes, it happens regularly to most of us. Not only from NOTA, but also ATA and other professional associations. The more visibility you have on the Internet, the more they will target you... The best thing to do is to ignore them

You learn to recognize them, but when in doubt feel free to ask one of the NOTA board members.

    Best!
