    Interpreter Ethics

    Two CCIO Webinars via Zoom

    Presented By: Melinda Gonzalez-Hibner

    Session 1: November 7, 2020

    Session 2:  December 5, 2020

Just when you thought you knew how to deal with every ethics situation, there’s a new one to contend with! Join us for an interactive training designed to cover basic tenets and the varying challenges that court interpreters encounter, including those posed by new remote interpreting technology. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, work in small groups and learn about the guidance our codes and rules provide.

Melinda Gonzalez-Hibner is an experienced and passionate interpreter trainer, and brings a lifetime of experience to her workshops. She is a Federally Certified Court Interpreter, a qualified Department of State contract interpreter and ATA Spanish to English certified translator. Currently, she serves as the supervisory interpreter for the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico and is a member of the Board of Directors of ATA.
